Public Information

Evidence-informed guidance for the public and the profession.

IAARM public information distinguishes established knowledge, general health information, professional practice, emerging evidence and investigational interventions without providing individualized medical advice.

Understanding the Field

Terms should not promise more than evidence can support.

01

Healthy Longevity

An interdisciplinary focus on maintaining health, function and resilience across the life course; it does not imply guaranteed lifespan extension.

02

Aging Science

The study of biological, clinical, behavioral and social processes associated with aging and age-related change.

03

Regenerative Medicine

A field involving approaches intended to repair, replace or regenerate cells, tissues or functions; legal status and evidence vary substantially by intervention and jurisdiction.

04

Investigational Activity

An intervention under study is not equivalent to an approved, licensed or generally established treatment.

Before You Rely on a Claim

Ask for the exact product, evidence, status and responsible professional.

Reading an IAARM Mark

A valid mark should lead to a complete public record.

Confirm the certificate or license identifier, certified object, holder, program, approved scope, standard version, issue and expiration dates, current status, jurisdiction and limitations. If the mark appears without a verifiable record or is used to imply an unlisted benefit, submit a concern.
